The NR-S school board approved the hiring of an assistant coach for the school’s archery team. Archery is in fourth year, and has in increasing number of participants. Last year, the team included 62 students. This year, 83 have signed on to the sport and each one will be involved in practices, weekly tournaments and a state tournament in March. Chans Price of Otter Tail Power presents Park District Manager Dennis Nybo with a donation to jumpstart the renovation of the baseball diamond dugouts at the Archie Jessie Campbell Memorial Park (also known as North Park). A McClusky family suffered tragedy earlier this month when a house fire destroyed their home and claimed the life of a child on Wednesday, Jan. 8. Quenten Fiebelkorn (formerly of New Rockford) and wife Katie are now trying to pick up the pieces. Quenten is recovering from third degree burns on 58% of his body.
