Area college students make honor rolls

Colleges and universities from around the area have been sending press releases of the latest students to make the President’s and Dean’s lists for the Fall 2019 academic semester.

Typically, the President’s List will recognize students who completed 12 credit hours or more of accredited coursework for they earned with a 4.0 grade point average. The Dean’s List will recognize students who completed 12 credit hours or more of accredited coursework for they earned with at least a 3.5 grade point average. Below is a list of area students listed by school and then alphabetically by last name. Details such as hometown and course of study are supplied when available.

The following area students were named to the University of Jamestown’s Dean’s List for Fall 2019: Garrett Bickett of Carrington; Abigail Neumiller of Carrington; Madison Solwey of Carrington; Cassidy Bjerke of New Rockford; Braxton Hewitt of New Rockford; Adrianna Klocke of New Rockford.

Minnesota State University Moorhead

MSU Moorhead, with an enrollment of approximately 5,800 students, is a comprehensive university offering 141 majors, emphases and options, 11 pre-professional studies programs, 15 graduate programs.

Those named to the Dean’s List are listed below:

Bellami Jensen of Carrington, Early Childhood Education; Miranda Johnson of New Rockford, Speech/Language/Hearing Science; Eric Johnston of New Rockford, Mathematics: Actuarial Science; Ryan McKnight of New Rockford, Construction Management; Logan Munson of New Rockford, Political Science; Madeson Smith of Carrington, Art.

Minot State University

A total of 433 students were named to the Fall 2019 President’s List, according to Minot State University President Dr. Steven Shirley. One area student made the list: Peggy Pfeiffer of Fessenden.

VCSU names area students to President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List

Valley City State University announced its President’s List for Fall 2019. The President’s Honor Roll recognizes students who completed 12 semester hours or more of VCSU classes for which grades points were earned with a 4.0 grade point average.

Area students who earned this distinction include Payton Granger, Joshua McKnight and Lauren Roscoe of New Rockford; Mikayla L. Donohue and Brandt J. Ronningen of Binford, and Abigail Jarrett and Maara B. Nelson of Carrington.

The Dean’s Honor Roll recognizes students who completed 12 semester hours or more of VCSU classes for which grade points were earned with a grade point average of at least 3.50.

The following area students were named to the Dean’s List: Gina Rae Burtness, of Warwick; Morgan Hewitt of Carrington, Sadie L. Magnuson of Carrington; Jayden W. Shipman of Carrington; Teresa Risovi of New Rockford; Victoria Claire Vollmer of Grace City.
