On Tuesday March 12, Patti Larson, Bill Smith, Brenda Rue, Shirley Myhre and several others on the Extension Advisory Council met to go over spring and summer programming and planning for Eddy County. Parents and kids may be interested in the many 4-H camps scheduled for this summer. Different camps are STEM, adventure, woodworking, horse, wildlife, chef and more! Sheyenne Quilters remembered Marian Lewis as they stitched and tied some of the thousands of quilt blocks Marian pressed and cut over the years. Quilters are happy to have tubs of blocks that will keep them busy for years to come. Our condolences to the family of Marian Lewis as she passed away last week. Patti Larson visited at the Heritage House in New Rockford last Tuesday and got in on birthday cake and ice cream for her aunt Judy Cudworth. Later in the week, Patti had her uncle Doug Cudworth over for supper to celebrate his 70th birthday. Back in October, Sheyenne GRIT supported the City of Sheyenne in applying for a U.S. Forest Service tree grant for the city-owned Hendrickson Park campground. Sheyenne GRIT is excited to announce that they were awarded $25,000 of federal money for tree and stump removal and new plantings. Many community members helped in assembling the grant application and have been waiting in anticipation to hear back on their application. On Monday, Jan. 15, Patti Larson snuck off to England with daughter Sandra and sister-in-law Judy LaBonne. Patti returned to Sheyenne on Sunday, January 28.
