GRIT held a board meeting Feb. 16 at the Sheyenne Senior Center. Board members Sharon Whitmer, Darci Joseph, Patti Larson, Laurie Westby, Tara Hanson and Joanna Larson had a lot to go over for planning summer projects. They are looking at hosting a community meeting in April to kick off the summer work. Events/Ostby Hall chair, Joanna, reported on efforts to keep the @sheyennend Instagram account updated with community happenings. A Sheyenne website is also in the works. GRIT volunteers will be working bingo on March 2. Tara, playground/childcare chair, reported on her search for playground/park grants.
Community of Sheyenne sends condolences to family and friends of Lori Frost. We will miss seeing her at the station.
Last week's SOAM Bible Study at the Sheyenne Senior Center featured the movie "The Ten Commandments." The first half of the movie was shown on Tuesday and the second half on Thursday.
