A grim discovery was recently made in rural Eddy County. After being contacted by a concerned family member, volunteers from Prairie Paws Rescue of Jamestown traveled to a residence in Eddy County on Friday, Feb. 23, about 10 miles northeast of New Rockford. A rash of firearm thefts has been occurring in New Rockford throughout January and February of this year. According to Eddy County Sheriff Paul Lies, three vehicles in New Rockford have been burglarized, and he’s asking for anyone with information to come forward. Bobbi Grann Olson, a 2009 graduate of New Rockford-Sheyenne, was recently inducted into the Dickinson State University Athletic Hall of Fame. She was officially inducted as a female rodeo athlete on Saturday, Feb. 24 at the DSU Rodeo Team's annual Cowboys and Candlelight event. The Triple Threat, the esports co-op of NR-S, Hazen and Garrison, sent two teams to this year's state esports tournament. Patti Larson visited at the Heritage House in New Rockford last Tuesday and got in on birthday cake and ice cream for her aunt Judy Cudworth.
