  • Dakota Datebook: Dr. Paul Burton

Nov. 4, 2019 is the anniversary of the death of Dr. Paul H. Burton. He came of age during the days of making house calls on horseback. He was appointed to the Stillwater Prison. Among t...

  • Rockets rout Tigers in 9-man playoff

    Erik Gjovik|Nov 4, 2019

It's one of the goals good football teams work for all year, the right to host a playoff game. It didn't quite work out as planned on the NR-S Rockets' end, but the team's adopted home turf at Farmers Union Field in Casselton ended up being a much more stable surface for one of the Nine-Man division's title contenders to show their stuff than the standing water blanketing Jim Johnson Field back home would have been. The Rockets began their journey towards the Dakota Bowl with a 60-14 win over...

  • North Dakota Outdoors: Nov. 4, 2019

    Doug Leier|Nov 4, 2019

Wild fish and game is a common, much anticipated course to many a North Dakota meal. But if you’ve ever tried a piece of freezer burned fish, or taken a bite of a sour piece of jerky you may hesitate the next time it’s offered your way.
