    The big difference in this game was at the free throw line as St. John defeated New Rockford-Sheyenne by a final score of 80-71 in non-district boys basketball action played at St. John on Saturday, February 3. Overall, the game was hard fought and high scoring. The Woodchucks led most of the way and at all quarter stops, 25-21, 43-41, 64-53. St. John made seven big free throws in the fourth to help seal their win.     New Rockford-Sheyenne played a pretty good overall first quarter, but it was just too much Medina-Pingree-Buchanan after that as they defeated the locals by a final score of 66-24, in non-district girls basketball action played at Pingree on Monday, February 5. It was the regular season finale for both teams. M-P-B is a very good overall team with a lot of height and athleticism and are very well coached.     Spectators at the home basketball games get a chance to scout for promising young talent. Students who participate in the youth NBA basketball program each get to play at halftimes during the junior varsity and varsity games.     New Rockford-Sheyenne was well represented at the NASP Bullseye Archery Tournament in Cooperstown on Saturday, Feb. 3. Thirty-five archers shot six rounds of bullseye competition worth a total of 300 possible points (30 arrows each worth up to 10 points), and many logged career high scores at the meet.
