NR-S club teams set up for success

The NR-S 16's club volleyball team took first place in their bracket at the Aces JO tournament in East Grand Forks on Saturday, April 15. Last Saturday, April 15, was a busy day of club volleyball tournaments for New Rockford-Sheyenne athletes.
The NR-S 16's team competed in the Aces JO tournament in East Grand Forks. The Rockets played in Pool B against the Northside Knights and the East Grand Forks Aces Pink. The Rockets split with the Knights in the first game of pool play, then went on to lose to the East Grand Forks Aces Pink.
In tournament play, the Rockets beat the Crookston Lady Pirates and the East Grand Forks Aces Black. The Rockets defeated the East Grand Forks Aces Pink in the championship round to take first place in their bracket.
The sixth grade NR-S team competed in Minnewaukan on Saturday. The Rockets won against two Rugby teams and two Fort Totten teams in pool play. In the championship game, the Rockets lost to a Lake Region team.
