CHI Health at Home is closely following the latest developments with coronavirus. We are constantly monitoring the latest developments and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and local health departments and are implementing their recommendations as we learn more about this disease. The safety of our clients, family members, caregivers, and employees remains our highest priority and we are taking steps to limit the spread of the virus and care for those who need it.

In an effort to protect our clients and their families, CHI Health at Home has made the following adjustments:

• Increased infection control practices

• Daily monitoring of all staff for any signs of infection

• Increased use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to minimize the spread of a virus

• All volunteer visits have been suspended and the use of phone and other methods of communication will be utilized to the extent possible

• Limiting of staff direct contact by utilizing teleconferencing technology for communication and meetings

• Temporarily suspending all community events

We are taking referrals

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have broadened the definition of homebound status which now includes all those that are age 65 or older receiving Medicare services. Commercial insurance policies also tend to follow that same trend. We are still accepting referrals and feel that it is now more than ever that those 65+ may be feeling isolated and needing additional monitoring of chronic health symptoms.

CHI Health at Home is a dedicated team of home health and hospice professionals. We provide RN nursing services, as well as physical therapist, occupational therapist, social work, chaplain, and home health/hospice aide. Under our home health services, our goal is to assist those recovering from an injury or living with a chronic illness, with all of their medical needs. We'll make your recovery process as comfortable as possible.

If you have multiple health concerns, recurrent hospitalizations but no aggressive life prolonging treatments, hospice care could be for you. CHI Health at Home’s interdisciplinary team is comprised of professionals trained to deliver comfortable hospice care. We strive to improve your quality of life at every step of your hospice care service. With our hospice services, our goal is the provide comfort, relieve physical, emotional, and spiritual suffering.
