On the morning of July 18, 1902, the following went to Carrington to sing in the Catholic choir during the 40-hour devotion: Mesdames Ben Fay, Fertig, Miller, and Messrs. Ray Hester and Dr. Charles McNamara. Andrew Ohrner returned from St. Paul, where he had an operation on the tumor on his head. [The operation was deemed “successful,” but Ohrner died of carcinoma on February 25, 1903.] Teddie Richter arrived from Oshkosh, Wis., to visit his brother A.J. Richter and family southeast of town.
