New Rockford-Sheyenne (NR-S) traveled to McVille on Friday, Sept. 21, for a Region 2 9-man football game against Nelson County. The Rockets had a big second quarter and the defense was very good as the locals rolled to a 60-8 win. Defensively, Tucker Longnecker, Joey Gray, Luke Ystaas and Nathan Holzwarth played well. A very good crowd of Rocket fans were on hand.
The Rockets improved to 3-0 in Region 2 and 6-0 overall. Next action for the locals is the regular season finale here Friday, Oct. 5 against Cavalier. It is also homecoming and senior night. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
