Overall, it was a hard fought match as New Rockford-Sheyenne (NR-S) defeated Barnes County North (BCN) by a final score of 3-1 in non-region Volleyball action played here on Thursday, Sept. 6.
BCN won set one 25-18. The Rockets won set two, 25-18, and set three 25-18. Set four was very close, but NR-S came out on top, by a final of 26-24. Again the locals won the match, 3-1. The Rockets improve to 3-3, overall.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, there is a varsity tournament in Devils Lake, a junior high tournament in New Rockford and a junior varsity tournament in Carrington.
