Rockets crush Eagles in Region 2 Football

New Rockford-Sheyenne (NR-S) made the long trip to Pembina for a Region 2, nine- man football game on Friday, Sept. 7 against North Border. As the case has been the first three games the locals have won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. Last Friday, they won the coin toss again and it paid off big time.

The Rockets had a huge first half, the offensive line played well and defensively a total team effort as the locals rolled to a 60-8 win. It was 38-0 after one stanza, 60-0 at halftime, 60-8 after three and again that was the final score.

Defensively, Tucker Longnecker, Luke Ystaas and Hunter Thompson played well. All of the Rockets saw playing time. NR-S is now 2-0, in Region 2 and 4-0 overall.
