Rocket gridders go 3 and 0

New Rockford-Sheyenne (NR-S) had a big first half, and played very well on both sides of the ball. The locals defeated Four Winds by a final score of 54-12 in a Region 2 nine-man football action played at home on Friday, Aug. 31. Defensively, Teddy Allmaras, Joey Gray, Tucker Longnecker, Bo Belquist, Luke Ystaas and Hunter Thompson all played well. Again, all of the Rockets saw playing time and everyone contributed.

It was 22-0 after one stanza, 54-0 at halftime, 54-6 after three, and again the locals chalked up a 54-12 win. The Rockets are now 1-0 in Region 2 and 3-0 overall. The Rockets have a bye on Sept. 14.

Next varsity action is against Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page (FSHP) on Tuesday, Sept. 18 at Hope. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page is not in our region as previously reported.
