Junior Hunter Thompson ran 30 yards to score a touchdown for the Rockets in their home opener against Benson County.
New Rockford-Sheyenne (NR-S) played host to Benson County in non-region football action on Friday, Aug. 24. The Rockets had a huge second quarter and this propelled them to a 70-16 win.
Defensively, Bo Belquist, Joey Gray, Teddy Allmaras, Hunter Johnson, Hunter Thompson, Luke Ystaas, Tucker Longnecker and Nathan Holzwarth all played well. The Rocket offensive line played well overall.
