Babe Ruth ends season shy of 500

SNR Babe Ruth Baseball had a good showing at the District Tournament. In first round action played in Bottineau on Monday, July 16, the locals' seven run rally propelled them to a 11-6 win against Harvey in a competitive contest.

In winner's bracket action on Tuesday, July 17, Bottineau defeated SNR by a score of 7 to 1.

As the tournament was double elimination, SNR got one more shot to advance in a loser out contest on Wednesday, July 18 in Rugby. Towner scored five runs against the Black Sox in the first two innings, and the locals played catch up for the rest of the game, losing 5-4 to end the tournament and the season.

SNR Babe Ruth had a good year overall, as they won 11 and lost 13.

SNR loses only Koven Walford due to age limits. The team was coached by Seth Soderholm.
