Ramona (Monie) Marie Klocke, 93, of Fessenden, N.D. passed away peacefully at the Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd in New Rockford, N.D. on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Mass of Christian Burial was at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 22, 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Fessenden, N.D. Fr. Steven Wirth officiated, and burial was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, New Rockford, N.D. Visitation was from 5:00-6:30 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. followed by the vigil service at 7:00 p.m., all at the church.

Ramona (Monie) M. Klocke, daughter of Hubert and Anna Mary Lies, was born January 15, 1930, at the Lies homestead near New Rockford, N.D. She was raised and educated in the New Rockford area at country school and at St. John's Catholic school.

On October 28, 1948, she was united in marriage to Louis (Lou) J. Klocke in New Rockford. They farmed in the New Rockford area until 1961 when they moved to the Sykeston area. They continued farming in Wells County until 1981 when they retired and moved into Fessenden where they resided.

Monie was a member of St. Augustine Church, Wells County Central Homemakers club, Christian Mothers Circle, and loved cleaning the St. Augustine church in later years when she and Lou moved into town. She loved her Holstein cows while on the farm and the sweet cream they produced. With that cream she would make homemade caramel rolls that she would generously give to family and friends along with homemade buns.

Grateful for having shared her life are sons, Lee E. (Rose) of Huron, S.D., Leon B. (Jean) of Fessenden, N.D., Lowell F. (Stacey) of Lolo, Mont., and daughter-in-law Kathy Klocke of Fessenden, N.D.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandsons; brother, Robbie (Margie) Lies of New Rockford; sisters, Shirley (John) Mayer of Isle, Minn., JoAnn (Barry) McNett of New Rockford, Veronica (Bunny) Lively of Napoleon, Mo., Judy Bartlett of Jamestown, N.D. and Susie Vanderhide of Savage, Minn.; brother-in-law LeRoy Krueger and many nieces and nephews.

Ramona was preceded in death by her husband Louis J. (Lou), daughter Louise Tunseth, son Louis A., her parents, brothers Dean (Jackie) Lies, Hubert (Bud) Lies, Mayo Lies and sister Patricia (Pat) Krueger.
