“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,” as the old saying goes, and it’s once again that time of the year when New Rockford residents get to make that saying a reality.
The annual city-wide garage sale hosted by the New Rockford Area Chamber of Commerce is just over the horizon.
This year’s city-wide garage sale will take place on Friday, Aug. 4 and Saturday, Aug. 5, and it’s sure to offer up a whole host useful and unique items – some of which you probably didn’t know you needed!
This year there will be 12 garage sales taking place on Friday and/or Saturday, with numerous items on offer, including furniture, clothes, kitchen items, hand tools and toys, just to name a few!
The Chamber has placed an advertisement in this week’s County Extra listing every sale, as well as where they’ll be located and at what time’s they’ll be open.
Maps of all registered sales will be distributed free to shoppers, and participants will have yard signs to mark their sales. Registered sales will also have a 20-word listing on the map to showcase the types of items they will have for sale.
