The Third Annual Freedom 5K started in downtown New Rockford in front of the New Rockford Transcript building on the morning of Saturday, July 1. A total of 25 runners/walkers had registered for the race. For the adults, Mason Haley came in first place followed by Joe Greiner in second and Trish Kutz in third. As for the kids, Gabe Smith took first place and Liza Steele took second place. The Freedom 5K kicked off at 8 a.m. with a gunshot start in downtown New Rockford with more than two dozen runners/walkers.
