Official Newspaper of Eddy County since 1883
A correction to Mervin and Rudolph Indergaard’s entries in the April 17 “Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust” was received from Mervin Indergaard's daughter Vicki Magill. She stated that Mervin Indergaard was born on July 31, 1928 and is still alive and living in Carrington, N.D. He is the son of James and Sadie (McEachern) Indergaard. Sadie is buried in St. John's Cemetery, Block 2, Lot 44. James Indergaard and Mervin's wife Francis Ann Indergaard are buried in the Barlow Cemetery not the Kvernes Cemetery, Carrington, N.D. as stated in the former column.
R. Indergaard was Rudolph Indergaard who was born on January 29, 1867 and died on January 7, 1924 at the age of 56. Rudolph was the first husband of Sadie (McEachern) and was not related to James Indergaard whom Sadie later married. Rudolph and Sadie lived in the Township of Pleasant Prairie, Eddy County, N.D. where he was a self-employed farmer. Rudolph is buried in the Kvernes Church Cemetery, Nordmore Township, Foster County, Carrington, N.D. where he was baptized. He has a stone marker in the cemetery.
I appreciated so much receiving this phone call with the corrections and would love to hear from anyone else if there are more corrections to be made. Thanks!
