Street special assessments certified

Property owners have 10 days to pay before interest begins accruing

The New Rockford City Commission reconvened the public hearing for Street Improvement Districts 2021-01 and 2022-01 on Monday, Oct. 10. At the short meeting they certified the final list of special assessments for the street project. The final assessments are on file with the City Auditor's office, and property owners have 10 days to pay their special assessment balance in full without accruing interest. Once the 10-day period has passed, the assessments will be sent to the county and will be added to property owner's 2022 tax bill. Interest will then accrue until the assessments are paid in full.
