NDSU Extension hosting Alzheimer's webinar

Eddy-New Rockford Library to stream event

Anyone interested in learning about Alzheimer's disease will have an opportunity to attend a free webinar that North Dakota State University and South Dakota State University Extension are hosting Jan. 8.

The Alzheimer's Association's Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter will present on the 10 warning signs of Alzheimer's at noon Central time.

"Alzheimer's and other dementias cause memory, thinking and behavior problems that interfere with daily living," says Jane Strommen, NDSU Extension gerontology specialist. "Join us to learn how to recognize common signs of the disease, how to approach someone about memory concerns, the importance of early detection and benefits of a diagnosis, possible tests and assessments for the diagnostic process, and Alzheimer's Association resources."

The Eddy-New Rockford Library will show the webinar on its screen. Interested individuals will not need to register to watch at the library, then can just come prior to the event’s noon start time.

Registration is required, however, if anyone wants to view from their home or office computer. To register, visit the SDSU Extension events page at https://extension.sdstate.edu/event/10-warning-signs-alzheimers-webinar. The registration deadline is 1 p.m. Central time Jan. 7.
