New Rockford and area folk extend sympathy to the family of Nolan Lies.

Saturday afternoon Frederick Allmaras was honored with an open house celebrating his 80th birthday at the Eagles Club in New Rockford. Fred and Dianne’s children and family were hosts to the occasion. Others, only to mention a few greeters were; Todd and Karen Koepplin, Allyssa Koepplin and Ross; Martin and Janelle Koepplin; Charlie Richter; Rob Lies; Ken Sharbono; Janice Reis and Althea Gronos; Patti Larson; Dave and Karen Anderson and Laura Hager.

Monday afternoon, brief visitor at the Leo and Janet Laube home was Charlotte Koepplin bringing treats to Yip Yip.

David and Karen Anderson drove to Garrison recently where they attended funeral services for Karen’s aunt Shirley Birkholz.

Wednesday, Janet Guler and Shirley Packard were among the Kindred Sister Bible Study group to meet at hostess Mary Bohnet’s home.

Martin and Eloise Lucht had a recent phone chat with son Scott, of Rochester, Minn. Where there’s just as much snow and wind as is here.

Friday afternoon, Holly Zieman picked up Marvis Holte and they met Amanda Bickett at the Garden Gate in Carrington for coffee and conversation.

Todd Harrison and four legged friend, Dakota, were visitors Wednesday of Shirley Packard.

Despite the blowing and snow Sunday, Martin and Janelle Koepplin and Charlotte Koepplin enjoyed the company of Todd and Karen Koepplin, Allyssa, Ross, Susie, Luke, Lexi and Roudy at Todd and Karen’s. All went home stuffed from a dinner of biscuits and gravy, spuds and ice cream cake.

Martin and Eloise Lucht drove to Devils Lake Friday, where Eloise kept an appointment at the eye clinic.
