School Board Election set

The New Rockford-Sheyenne School Board election will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. polling will be at the New Rockford-Sheyenne School gymnasium lobby in New Rockford.

Three terms expire this year-that of Mary Kay Price, Eric Myhre, and Roger Duda. Price’s position will be elected from the former New Rockford District. Myhre’s position will be elected from the former Sheyenne District. Duda’s position will be elected at-large from the District. Candidacy for each school board position is determined by residency within defined geographic areas of the district, but all eligible voters of the school district may vote for each position. The candidates elected will be named for three year terms.

Candidates for these positions must file a Statement of Intent to Run for School Board and a Statement of Interests by Monday, April 2, 2018, at 4 p.m. Candidacy forms are available from the business manager at the New Rockford-Sheyenne Public School in New Rockford.
