Walford earns his first state qualification in javelin
NR-S junior Kage Walford threw a personal best – and state-qualifying – throw of 155 feet, 10 inches in the boys' javelin to finish in third place overall.
For the first time this track and field season, NR-S junior Kage Walford has earned his shot at the Class B State Track and Field Meet in Bismarck on May 23-25.
Walford joined track for the first time this year and has had a great season so far. In just four meets, his personal best has improved and now he will get to compete against the best in the state come the end of the month.
