Archers wow in Wilton

The Rockets performed well in Wilton on Saturday, Feb. 10. Local archers competed in both bullseye and 3D competitions and brought home many accolades both individually and as a team.

The middle school and high school teams both took home the first place trophy in the bullseye tournament. In team competition, the top individual scores in each division are combined and the trophy goes to the team that ends up with the most total points.

Freshman Layton Jacobson gave his best performance of the season, earning the Top Overall Male Archer awards and first place among high school boys in both bullseye and 3D.

In bullseye, Jacobson shot a 295, which is a tie of his personal best score. In 3D, he finished with a 287.

Sawyer Huso finished atop the middle school boys’ division in bullseye with a 282 and took home the gold medal. Koy Zieman scored a 267 and finished in fourth place among middle school boys.
