Hopfauf opens photography studio in New Rockford
Every aspiring photographer dreams of one day having their own professional studio, and Kayahna Hopfauf, a 2021 graduate of NR-S, was no different.
Now, after more than a year of offering professional photography services in the area, Hopfauf has finally turned that dream into reality.
Located at 303 1st Street South in New Rockford – the building where Halvorson Auto was located – the official KayElla Photography studio offers a great location for year-round photo shoots.
"Honestly, just to have a place to call home is great," said Hopfauf about her new studio. "People drive by Highway 281 now and see KayElla Photography, that's just great marketing and it's just so perfect to have that spot."
Hopfauf said she's been utilizing the studio since August, and that it's already proven invaluable on windy days and when the weather won't cooperate.
"It's nice to have a place to shoot newborns and portraits and that kind of thing, especially in the winter, when you can't do everything outside," said Hopfauf.
"Especially with newborns," she added. "Just because where else do you do them? In-home sessions are super fun, but some people want to have that professional studio space. So it's super nice to have that."
Hopfauf said she doesn't have any set office hours for the studio, but anyone interested in seeing the new space can reach out and schedule a time to stop by.
KayElla Photography offers a broad range of photography services, including portraits, newborns, couples, families, engagements, proposals and weddings.
She also describes herself as a "lifestyle brand" photographer, and she's often working with brands for marketing purposes and taking pictures of various businesses.
Those interested in KayElla Photography's services are encouraged to reach out to Hopfauf. She can be reached via phone at (701) 302-8025, or email at [email protected].
Hopfauf also has a website where you can see her portfolio and learn more about her and what she offers. Her website is kayellaphotography.mypixieset.com. Those interested can also follow her on Facebook or Instagram.
Hopfauf said she's enjoyed operating KayElla Photography over the past year, as well as getting to know and work with so many people in the area.
"It's been insanely busy," she said. "I've met some amazing people and even now I go out to some amazing towns and I run into someone I've taken pictures for.
"So it's super fun and everyone has just been insanely supportive," she added. "It's just mind blowing to see how far I've come, because this is my biggest dream and it's all coming true."
