4-H'ers hold season-end shoot-off

The chilly conditions on Saturday morning were evident from the steam rising off the rifles and shotguns at the shooting range east of New Rockford. Ten 4-H Shooting Sports members and their families gathered for one final shoot-off. They shot rounds with pistols, shotguns and rifles that morning, and Layton Jacobson emerged as the winner. Chaztin Wobbema finished in second place, and Bradyn Collier third. All participants earned prizes such as firearms, binoculars, camo jackets and other supplies to use out in the field.

The 4-H Shooting Sports program is led by Mike Brazil. Generous donations from the local Lions, Eagles, Rod & Gun Club and American Legion and community members make it possible.
