Summer Street Market June 29

The New Rockford Summer Street Market season is kicking off on Thursday, June 29.

There’s no better sign that summer has arrived in New Rockford than seeing vendors and residents filling Centennial Park and downtown.

Last year, 20 vendors set up their wares in the park, offering a variety from soaps and flowers to cupcakes and so much more. Even businesses on Central Avenue had special sales for the street market, and this year, the New Rockford Area Betterment Corporation has put together more of the same.

The Summer Street Market will take place between 4 and 8 p.m. Entertainment will include face painting, a bounce house and a petting zoo for the kids, not to mention a live performance from the actors from the upcoming DPRCA show, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

Vendors that have already signed on to participate include CLB Soaps, Kathy Anderson Creations, the Pink Pistil Flower Boutique and Overflow Coffee, as well as food from Cities Service Luncheonette, Sweet Prairie Food Truck and Authentic Tacos.
