Sandra Larson attended the UND Commencement to celebrate high school classmate Cassidy Holth, daughter of Jim and Adele Holth of Carrington. Cassidy graduated with a degree in Atmospheric Science and Environmental Studies.
Last Wednesday morning, Jan Loe and Patti Clifton stopped at Community Credit Union in New Rockford before heading to Carrington. They had lunch at Pizza Ranch before Patti kept a medical appointment. They enjoyed an ice cream treat at HiWay Drive-In before they headed home.
Family and friends gathered at the Sheyenne Senior Center for the baby shower for Mabel Elizabeth Swenson, daughter of Evan and Hope Swenson of Velva and granddaughter of Neil and Liz Swenson of Sheyenne.
Patti, Joanna and Sandra Larson attended worship service at Kvernes Lutheran Church with Marge Anderson for Mother's Day.
Jan and Steph Loe joined the Mother's Day celebration in Grand Forks along with Jim and Marjean Woodrow, Brian and Pam Hill, Sue Hill, Bryce Hill and Debra Hartland, who was here from Arizona.
Patti Clifton attended the baby shower for Mabel Swenson on Saturday morning. Jan Loe was also among those who attended the shower.
Congratulations to the following Sheyenne-area graduates: Madisen Myhre, NR-Sheyenne High School, high honor student Class of 2023; Harrison Joseph, North Dakota Center for Distance Education graduate of 2023; Nicole Chenze, Early Childhood Education associate degree, Lake Region State College; Wilson Howard, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering BS from North Dakota State University; and Olivia Smith, Doctor of Physical Therapy, graduating top of her UND class and earning national honors.
Tuesday, May 9, Tue-Zona Quail from Devils Lake visited and had lunch at the Sheyenne Senior Center. Later, Tue-Zona and Bonnie Deegan did some errands in the area. They enjoyed supper at Bonnie’s before Tue-Zona returned to Devils Lake.
On Wednesday, May 10, Bonnie Deegan was invited to Dunn Brothers in Devils Lake for her birthday by Marcie Grohs. Later, they had supper at the Mexican restaurant. Great birthday celebration!
