NR-S musicians competed at the State Class B Solo and Ensemble Festival in Minot on May 6. NR-S musicians boarded the Rocket activity bus and headed to their state competition at Minot State University on Saturday, May 6. They performed 11 musical arrangements and brought home three "star" ratings, the highest possible rating.
Senior Hallie Brown performed in all three "star" performances. She also earned two Outstanding Performance Awards at regionals, one for her soprano solo and another with fellow flutists Claire Becker and Abby Nystrom, capping off her high school career with great accolades from the judges.
