Local team wins first-ever SnoBear tournament on Devils Lake

Kelly Stafford, Nathan Rue, Jaxon Schaefer and Robert Schaefer won $5,500 at the first SnoBear tournament held on Devils Lake.
On Friday, Feb. 24, a few local fishermen took home the top prize in the Glacial Lakes Snobear Perch Tournament on Devils Lake.
The tournament, which was the first-ever SnoBear tournament on Devils Lake, saw 65 teams from throughout the region competing for a total purse of $16,800, and Nate Rue, Robert Schaefer, Jaxon Schaefer and Kelly Stafford took home $5,500 for their first-place effort.
