Ice rink open house Feb. 19

To commemorate the grand opening of New Rockford’s new ice rink and warming house, the New Rockford Park District will host an Open House on Sunday, Feb. 19.

Skaters of all ages and abilities are welcome to join the fun. From 2 - 4 p.m. enjoy hot chocolate, coffee and cookies and take to the ice with friends and family.

If you’re new to ice skating, be there at 3 p.m. as Dennis Nybo and Jackson Schumacher lead a “Learn to Skate” class. Learn basic techniques and practice your newly-learned skills on the ice.

The New Rockford ice rink and warming house is located just east of the swimming pool on 3rd Avenue North. The facility is open to the public Monday through Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sundays from 2 - 8 p.m. unless the temperature dips below -10 degrees.
