Last Tuesday, Bonnie Deegan was in Fargo where she kept a medical appointment. She also met her sister Margaret Brink for a visit and lunch. The Brinks will be leaving soon for their winter home in North Carolina. Bonnie then stopped for a visit with her 99-year-old aunt Eris Mae Johnson before she headed home to Sheyenne.

On Saturday, Jan Loe and daughter Steph were in Brocket to visit Jason Stenberg and see his new home. Also there where Jason's sisters, Nadine and Dave Salwey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Melissa Stenberg of Minneapolis. All were helping Jason move into the new place.

Sunday afternoon, a Sheyenne GRIT meeting was held at the Sheyenne Senior Center. Discussion was held on what has/is being worked on and what needs to be done at upcoming meetings. All community members are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings. Watch for notices on when the next meeting will be held.

Patti Clifton and Jared were in Carrington on Monday morning when Jared kept an appointment.

Upcoming happenings at the Sheyenne Senior Center: Foot Care on Thursday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m. with a potluck lunch at noon; Flu Shots by Eddy County Public Health on Thursday, Oct. 13, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; SOAM Bible Study, Tuesday, October 11, 12:30 p.m.

First Lutheran Church will host their Fall Dinner on Sunday, October 23, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Ostby Hall, Main Street, Sheyenne.

Free-will offering for turkey and all the trimmings. Proceeds to Riverside and Holy Cross Cemetery Fund.
