Sheyenne and area folks extend sympathy to the family of Keith Drake.

Janet Laube and YipYip entertained great-granddaughter, Kayla Kimball, for a couple days this past week. Kayla is from Oklahoma and is the granddaughter of Donna Sharbono.

Candy Jensen celebrated her 71st birthday on Sunday, July 24. She received many birthday greetings through phone calls and Facebook from family and friends. Her brother, Rick Koepplin, brought early greetings on Saturday.

Shirley Packard received a phone call Tuesday from Ardis Afseth of Minot, updating her on Packard family illnesses. Ardis is the cousin of the late Bob Packard.

Thursday, Ken and Marvis Holte drove to Devils Lake where they picked up daughter, Fayette Nelson. All did some shopping and returned to Fayette’s for a yummy tater tot hotdish and fresh baked apple pie, enjoyed with more visiting.

Eloise Lucht and Margie Stolz of Bismarck had a great phone visit on Sunday. Eloise’s son, Larry, and Irene Lucht called from Germany to let mom know they both have Covid, but are doing fine.

Tuesday, Shirley Packard kept an appointment at Nicolai Chiropractic. Friday, Calvin Packard mowed the yard for mom, did some reading for her and stopped in briefly on Sunday.

House guest at the Ken and Marvis Holte home was Izzy Beckett, while her masters, Cody and Amanda, were packing up as they are moving to a different home in Carrington. Ken and Marvis lent a hand and helped them get settled in their new home.

Janet Laube enjoyed a phone call from grandson, Travis Laube, and sister-in-law, Lois Ockert, both of Fargo, this week.
