Eddy County 4-H showcases new facility and honors earned at Achievement Days

Eddy County Extension and Eddy County 4-H were delighted to unveil a project that has been in the making since July of 2019 just in time for Eddy County Achievement Days.

Extension Staff wrote grants, and with the help of Jean Schuster, Eddy County 4-H received the final $3,000 to complete the construction of the 4-H Show Pavilion.

Extension Staff would like to recognize the sponsors of the project, which included Garrison Diversion, Ottertail Power Company, Northern Plains Electric, Montana Dakota Utilities, North Dakota Telephone Company Dollars in Motion, The New Rockford Eagles Club, New Rockford Lions Club, Dallas Anderson and Brenda Rue family.

The efforts of the community and 4-H volunteers who donated their time, effort, equipment and hard work on the construction of the pavilion are also duly noted. The volunteers are Mike Brazil, Jackson Brazil, Larry Danduran, Dallas and Donna Anderson, Preston Meier, Jean Schuster, Cory Jorgensen, Todd Weber and Norris Kjos.

Extension also acknowledged the late Suzie Semmens, Eddy County 4-H volunteer. Bleachers were purchased in her memory with funds from the club Suzie led for many years.
