Lester attended “The Bridges Home Concert” at the Maddock Opera House Sunday.

Dave and Linda Madson traveled to Grand Forks, where Dave kept a medical appointment.

Linda accompanied Melodie and McKenzee Madson to the Lake Region School for the Performing Arts production of “The Little Mermaid” on Thursday evening. Kennedee Madson was a member of the cast. It is amazing what is accomplished in two weeks of practice considering the number of kids participating and the difference in their ages. The costumes were so well done and set decor was also great. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Carrie Prince spent Friday and Saturday nights with Melodie and the girls. Carrie, Melodie, Linda and McKenzee took in some garage sales in Devils Lake on Saturday. Sunday afternoon, Lezlee Thorson joined the girls and all are busy preparing for their garage sale next Saturday.

John and Donna Grann went for a drive Sunday to pick up a trailer in Douglas, N.D., two goats in Dunn Center, N.D. and swung through New Town, N.D. on the way home. They met Larry Howard from Ray, N.D. and had a nice visit.

Doris Griffin reports that her little duck hen is back making a nest in the yard by the apple tree. Doris thinks she is a blue winged teal. She has 12 white eggs and they fit perfectly in the nest – three in the middle and nine surrounding them.

Yes, duck eggs are edible if there are less than 11 in the nest. Duck eggs are a little more viscus than chicken eggs.

Nadley Buehler is spending the week with Breana and Michael Pacheco in Watford City. They welcomed a daughter to their family on June 10. Adelye Ruth Pacheco weighed in at seven pounds one ounce and 19 inches long. Everyone is doing well. Congratulations to the Pacheco’s and Buehler families.

Debbie and Joell Hjelseth of Chattanooga, Tenn. are visiting Todd and Nadley and family this month.

Bria, Brittin and Brooks stopped by for a visit at the Buehler home on Sunday.

Todd Buehler spoke at the Pilots for Christ service on Sunday. He shared his story of getting to meet granddaughter, Annley, in Rochester last October, made possible by so many wonderful people. Elisa and Joe Wentz, Beau, Bria, Brittin and Brooks and Hunter also attended the service.
