There will be a bridal shower for Hope Gutschmidt, bride-to-be of Evan Swenson, on May 7 at 10:30 a.m. It will be held at First Lutheran Church in Sheyenne.

Chad Getscher visited Lester Roberts on Sunday.

Paul and Carrie Prince traveled to Denver, Colo. and spent a week with Carrie’s daughter, Becki Madson, and her grandsons’ Jesse, Andrew and Elias. They also got acquainted with their 1-year-old great grandson, Eli, and helped his father, Jesse, celebrate his 21st birthday. They returned home on Tuesday after spending the day driving in the blizzard.

Brittin and Brooks visited Papa Todd and Grandma Nadley Buehler last week.

Hunter, Grace and Hendrick Buehler visited Todd and Nadley on Wednesday. The Buehler family and Dawn Ihry also visited on Friday.

Friday afternoon, Randy and Charlotte Simon visited Todd and Nadley.

Dave Kenner stopped by to see Todd and share Easter dinner on Sunday.

Beau, Bria, Brittin and Brooks Buehler and Benji spent Easter weekend with Bria’s family in Fargo. While there, they celebrated Brittin’s third birthday.

Hunter, Grace and Hendrick and Maverick spent Easter weekend in Valley City-Hope area with some of Grace’s family.

There will be no service at Calvary on April 24, as Pastor Jeff will be on vacation. The next scheduled service will be May 8 at 9 a.m.

Johnny Grann went back to college in Jamestown on Sunday, but returned home again Monday evening as all in-person classes were canceled. Dave Reinholz came from University of Jamestown also for a week to help out through the storm.

A memorial service for Gene Woolley was held Saturday, April 23 at 1 p.m. at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Oberon. Gene passed away at his farm on Jan. 10 of this year. The family requests that everyone wear “Blue Jeans for Gene.”
