Carolyn June Clark Alfstad

Rocklin, Calif.

Carolyn Clark Alfstad, 83, of Rocklin, Calif., passed away of cancer in her daughter's home on March 2, 2022. She was born in Williston, N.D., to Clyde and Mabel Clark. The eldest of four daughters, she spent the first eight years of her life living with her parents on a farm near Williston.  The family then moved to Grenora and six years later to New Rockford, where she graduated from New Rockford High School in 1956. Carolyn then attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn.

Carolyn married Ron Alfstad in June 1959 (D-1984). They lived in North Dakota for two years and then with their baby son, Scott, they headed west to California. Their daughter, Tera Lee, was born in Sacramento two years later. Carolyn spent her entire career working for Wells Fargo bank in various capacities, retiring as personal banking officer. 

Carolyn was a lover of animals, especially cats, and spent years after her retirement pet sitting.  She enjoyed gardening and cooking and was an avid sports enthusiast. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. Her vivaciousness, charm and wit have left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her two children, Scott (and wife Terry) and Tera Lee, her two grandsons, Erik (and wife Kat) and Trevor, two great-grandchildren, Lucy Rose and Julia, and her three sisters, Bonnie, Peggy (and husband George), and Judy (and husband John), as well as five nephews and one niece.
