American Legion Spring District meeting to be held on March 24 in Jamestown

Sheridan, Wells, Eddy, Foster and Stutsman Counties, March 4, 2022 -- Members of North Dakota's American Legion Posts of the 4th District and their Auxiliary will gather in Jamestown at the All Vets Club (116 1st St E) for their 2022 Spring District Meeting on Thursday, March 24 starting at 7 p.m. A social will start at 5 p.m. and a meal will be served at 6 p.m. The cost of the meal is $15 per person. Dessert and beverages will be served following the meeting.

District Commander Doug Wittmier of Streeter Post 265 will preside over the session. Department Commander Steve Anderson of Cando Post 79 and other Department Officers will be in attendance.

Legionnaires will be brought up to date on upcoming youth activities such as American Legion Boys State to be held in June on the North Dakota State School of Science Campus in Wahpeton and the American Legion Baseball Season.

Representatives will elect a new district commander and a district vice commander for the coming 2022-2023 Legion year. Joining the members of the District will be area Department committee members, Department Vice Commander and candidates for various Legion offices seeking support at the Department Convention in Dickinson, June 24-26, 2022.
