The funds will be used for training and equipment, as well as offering all volunteers $3 per hour for on-call time. They will be able to pay a crew of three 24/7 for six months with the Eagles donation alone. Manager Georgia Johnson said Wednesday that first responders are always needed.
Community Ambulance Service of New Rockford (CASNR) raised more than $56,000 during the annual Giving Hearts Day fund drive on Feb. 10. The new record was made possible by many local donations, including a $35,000 contribution from the New Rockford Eagles Club.
