Alan Hegvik, 65, of Glenfield, N.D. died unexpectedly Dec. 8, 2021.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. to be held at Evans Funeral Home, Carrington. Funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 31, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Prairie Faith Church, Glenfield, N.D., with Rev. Russ Christiansen officiating and special music by Sheri Schindler. Honorary bearers will be all of Alan's grandchildren.
He was born to Alton and Janice (McDonald) Hegvik on May 24, 1956. He was raised in Glenfield with his four siblings; Richard (Patty) of Carrington, N.D.; Donna (Craig) of Pueblo, Colo.; Sherri (Bruce) of Grand Forks, N.D.; and Mark of Roseau, Minn. After high school, he attended North Dakota State College of Science and earned a degree in accounting.
Alan married Mary Ann Frappier on Feb. 1, 1980 and settled in Glenfield, where they started a family. Alan was employed by Tough-T Manufacturing in Glenfield, N.D. for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Mary and his six children; Natalie (Safwan) of Falmouth, Maine; Nicole (Payden Dronen) of Jamestown, N.D.; Jason of Cooperstown, N.D.; Veronica (Joey) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Joshua (Ashley) of Carrington, N.D., and Brittany of Glenfield, N.D., and 21 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one nephew.
