Elementary students perform at annual Christmas concert

The New Rockford-Sheyenne annual Elementary Christmas Concert was held on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the New Rockford-Sheyenne Gymnasium.

Students in grades one through six sang their hearts out to many traditional and non-traditional Christmas songs. The fifth and sixth grade bands also performed many different songs. Some band students also accompanied the choir.

Singing and playing of instruments weren't the only things to make the audience smile, there were also dances included. The first graders did the 'Jingle Bells Dance', the second graders did the 'Trepak dance', the third and fourth graders did the 'Snowball Dance' and the fifth and sixth grade class did the 'Troika dance.'

On Friday, Dec. 17, the Kindergarten class held their annual Gingerbread Concert. The Kindergarten class from the 2020-21 year also participated in the Gingerbread house making, as last year this concert was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
