Travelers Dave and Cheryl Gabbert are enjoying the sights in and around Tallahassee, Fla. for a couple of weeks.

Candy Jensen heard recently of the death of a cousin, Chuck Krause, in California. Chuck is the son of the late Raymond and Irene Krause. Raymond was a law enforcement officer in New Rockford. His wife was the sister of Donna Koepplin.

Pastor Richard Biberdorf of Grace Lutheran Church in Carrington, N.D. took care of church business Thursday afternoon at the Shirley Packard home.

Martin and Janelle Koepplin were brief visitors at the Charlotte Koepplin home on Friday afternoon bringing a sparkly blue poinsettia plant to help celebrate the coming holidays.

Calvin Packard was a helper at mom Shirley’s on Sunday with snow removal and reading the Transcript and other mail to her. Shirley also got her covid booster shot.

Ken and Marvis Holte enjoyed supper one evening at the Prairie Inn in celebration of their 43rd wedding anniversary. They received calls filled with good wishes for the day from son Loren and family, and daughter Amanda Bickett.

Grandson David Youle of Mandan called and visited with Janet Laube and YipYip on Sunday afternoon.

Thursday, Ken and Marvis Holte drove to Devils Lake where they picked up their daughter Fayette Nelson, did some shopping, and returned to Fayette’s and enjoyed visiting over lunch and playing laser tag with Frankie the cat.
