Following years of proposals between the Spirit Lake Reservation and Eddy County Sheriff’s Department regarding law enforcement on tribal land, a new arrangement seems to be on the verge of completion, as both the Eddy County Sheriff and the State’s Attorney have recommended signing a newly-proposed Deputation Agreement.
