Halloween Happenings

Halloween weekend is chock full of spooky fun for all ages.

Friday night, Hamar Bar will host a Halloween Extravaganza for adults 21 and older, with food, karaoke, a costume contest and drink specials from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Saturday, the Eagles Club is party central. The Eagles Auxiliary will host its Fall Craft and Bake Sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a variety of vendors selling their wares, and a delicious lunch served by the auxiliary. Saturday night, adults 21 and older are invited to the Eagles’ Halloween Celebration with a costume contest, Howling Horse DJ and drink specials.

There’s fun for the kids too! Three local youth organizations have teamed up to host a Haunted House on Saturday from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. SADD, Sources of Strength and FCCLA members will take turns scaring their peers in the basement of the Brown Memorial. The Haunted House is open to adults and students in grades 7 to 12. Admission is $5 per person.

On Sunday, Oct. 31, the New Rockford Lions Club is sponsoring a Trunk or Treat event in downtown New Rockford. Businesses, organizations and families are invited to decorate their trunks and give out treats around Centennial Park from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Kids of all ages can safely go trick-or-treating and enjoy refreshments served by the Lions Club.
