FOOTBALL: In the Homecoming football game article on page A7 of the Oct. 18 edition, the photo cutline stated that Nick Berglund caught a pass thrown by QB Haydon Meier. It was Haydon’s brother, Bennett Meier, who threw the touchdown pass. Thank you to his family for calling it to our attention. Both of the Meier brothers should be commended for their on-field accomplishments throughout the season.
COUNTY COMMISSION: In the article outlining the Oct. 7 county commission meeting that ran in the Oct. 18 edition, the reporter stated that the commission authorized Auditor Patty Williams to apply for $33,000 in lost revenue funds from the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA). Those funds were designated to be used for Lake Washington Road repairs, not the New Rockford street improvement project.
There is also approximately $400,000 in additional ARPA funds available, and county commissioners are evaluating various projects to determine which of them meet the federal government’s criteria for ARPA funding.
