Family gathered Saturday afternoon at the John and Donna Grann residence for dinner. That evening, all went to St. Michael’s Catholic Church for the baptism of Emersyn Jo Olson. Dan and Marda Olson (Grandpa and Grandma) from Flandreau, S.D., were able to drive up and take part in this special occasion.

John, Donna, Lacey, Bobbi Grann and Emersyn went to Mayville on Sunday to cheer on Johnny Grann, as the University of Jamestown J.V. played Mayville State J.V.

Ben, Brittany and Dutton Grann traveled to Bismarck on Sunday to drop off a riding horse and pick up another one to start riding.

Nadley Buehler traveled to Chicago, Ill. last week to attend the wedding of nephew, Kristofer and Noelle Dempsey and visit parents, Ken and Mona Dempsey. While there, Nadley also spent time visiting friends in the area.

Nadley had lunch with Sherry Boehmer in Devils Lake, and later attended the 80th birthday party for Linda Madson on Sunday afternoon.

Hunter and Grace Buehler, and Beau and Bria Buehler, visited Joe and Elisa Wentz Saturday evening in Rochester. They later joined Bryce and Cydney Knaust for the Vikings-Browns game on Sunday. Brittin and Brooks Buehler helped cousins, Asher and Evelyn take care of Papa Ron and Grandma, Laurie Knaust.

Lester Roberts was in New Rockford on business on Wednesday.

Sunday afternoon, Lester and Lezlee Thorson attended the 80th birthday party for Linda Madson.

Randy and Charlotte Simon attended football games for Easton and Jaxon Simon on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The Sunday game was held in the Fargo Dome. It was the 5th and 6th grade football jamboree. Each game lasted one hour. Jaxon and the New Rockford Rockets played Wyndmere-Lidgerwood. The final score was Rockets 14 to 8. Congratulations to the Rockets team.

Randy and Charlotte celebrated Randy’s birthday on September 30 at Jaxon’s football game.

Melodie, Madson, Carrie Prince and Cathy Caulfield hosted the 80th birthday party for their mom, Linda Madson, in Melodie’s yard on Sunday afternoon. Great-granddaughters, Kennedee and McKenzee Madson also helped. Dave Madson helped as well.

This amazing group of family and friends attended the party - Brenda Hoime and her friend, Brian, Judy Hager, Zella Hoffart, Michael and Amy Jacobson, Tommy Schwab, Mr. Syl Brown, Nadley Buehler, Lester Roberts, Lezlee Thorson, Howard and Helen Schmid, Dwight and Carol Eckart of Bismarck, Brandon, Sarah, Paige and Easton Caulfield of Jamestown, Shawn Caulfield of Jamestown, Joni Duckworth of Larimore, Gladys Tweit of Fargo, Mitchell, Elisha, Brinlee and Ridge Poulsen, Sandy Poulsen, Kinley Poulsen, Paul Prince, Pam VenHuizen and her son Jack, of Cooperstown, Senior Bowling League friends, Phil and Linda Schmaltz, Richard and Bonnie Yankton, Nick Miller and Jeanne Lindberg, Gary and Gail Frederick and Lena Jager. If anybody who attended was left off this list, it was not intentional. It was a beautiful day and a wonderful, fun party.
