Wednesday, hunting visitors at the John and Donna Grann farm were Jim Howard from Bismarck, Brad Robertson from Dickinson, and Aaron Newcomb from Devils Lake. They were accompanied by their hunting dogs.

Bobbi Grann and Josey Clark from Carrington traveled to Rapid City, S.D., Wednesday through Friday, to participate in the Best of the West barrel race.

John and Donna went to the Jamestown Jimmies football game in Jamestown on Saturday.

Ben Grann judged the high school rodeo in Valley City Saturday and Sunday.

A week ago, Tom, Pam and J.D. Schmid went to Hillsboro to watch the Hillsboro and Northern Cass football game. Brody Geston plays on the Northern Cass team.

Lester Roberts attended the 90th birthday party for Marcella Schafer on Friday.

Lester and Chad Getscher had supper at the Charras Mexican restaurant in Devils Lake Sunday evening.

Friday evening, Linda Madson accompanied Melodie, Kennedee and McKenzee Madson to McKenzee’s 5th grade basketball scrimmage at the Central Middle School in Devils Lake.

Sunday afternoon, Linda Madson helped Michael Jacobson can 17 quarts of beet pickles.

Tommy Schwab was an afternoon guest at the Madson home on Sunday.

Helpful Hint: When putting dumplings into soup, dip the spoon into the hot soup after each dumpling and the next one will easily slide off the spoon.
