Bob Longnecker of Mound, Minn. (son of the late Leo and Mary Rose Longnecker), Cindy Longnecker Allen of Eagle, Idaho (daughter of the late Virgil and Ila Longnecker), and Sharon Longnecker Neilson of Sumner, Wa. (daughter of the late George and Myra Longnecker) arrived in the area Friday. All are grandchildren of the late Harve and Mae Longnecker. The trio enjoyed visiting with down-the-line cousins Eric and Lisa Longnecker, Merle and Sandy Longnecker, Roger Longnecker and Charlotte Koepplin. They helped Sandy celebrate her birthday one evening, enjoyed the Steam Threshers breakfast on Saturday morning, and then toured the Eddy County Museum with host Calvin Packard.
Here they found a quilt that had been made around 1902 by their great-great-grandmother Pincott. The quilt had been given to the Tiffany Ladies Aide by George H. Pincott years ago, when the club was active. In turn, the ladies donated it to the museum. The Pincott family was a noted family in Warwick. Their home is still there and lived in. Bob, Cindy and Sharon also took in the Saturday afternoon Parade of Engines and other sights at the Central North Dakota Steam Threshers Reunion. They left early Sunday morning on their journey back to their homes after an enjoyable weekend.
Jimmy Indergaard enjoyed a phone chat with his sister Sharon Laxdal on Friday. Thursday, Jimmy was a supper guest at his sister Ruth and Andy Braaten’s, where he visited with niece Nikki. Saturday, Jimmy was back at Ruth’s for dinner.
Charlotte Koepplin and other family members got phone calls Saturday that grand nephew and grandson, eight-month-old Hendrix, was airlifted to a hospital in Bismarck with an unknown illness. He is the son of Aaron and Danielle Koepplin. All were very concerned, and then relieved, to get good news on Sunday that Hendrix is getting better and should be able to come home in a few days. AMEN.
Saturday evening found Margie Anderson among those who enjoyed the music at the Steam Threshers Reunion. Sunday, Margie took birthday greetings to her brother Glen Cudworth and enjoyed a visit with Glen and Judy.
